1.1 You must be eighteen (18) years or older, and you must live in South Africa.

1.2 You enter in your own name and on your own Olarm Academy (“Academy”) account.

1.3 The prize is awarded to you personally. It is not awarded to your employer. A company cannot win.

1.4 Olarm directors, employees, agents and consultants may not enter. Any person supplying the prize, or running the draw, may not enter. The immediate family of any of those persons may not enter.

1.5 Immediate family means a spouse, a life partner, a parent, a child, or a sibling.

2. When

2.1 The competition opens at 00:00 SAST on 19th October 2026.

2.2 The competition closes at 23:59 SAST on 30 November 2026.

2.3 A course that the Academy platform has marked complete on or after 1 July 2026 may count, provided you have accepted these rules before closing.

2.4 A course or a story recorded after closing does not count.

3. How to enter

3.1 Entry is free. You do not have to buy an Olarm product.

3.2 A course counts when the Academy platform records it as complete. A partly finished course does not count.

3.3 You may use one (1) Academy account only.

3.4 Completing the Olarm ONE course earns one (1) entry. That course is a mandatory prerequisite. No other entries count until it is complete.

3.5 Completing any other Academy course earns one (1) entry for each course. You may complete any course, in any order. There is no cap on the number of courses.

3.6 Posting one (1) story in the Academy community earns five (5) bonus entries. You may earn these bonus entries once only. The story is a written account, or a video of you speaking, about an installation you carried out using an Olarm device, and it must meet clause 4.

4. Community stories

4.1 You must post the story in the Olarm Academy community while you are signed in to your own account, and you must do so before closing. A post made anywhere else does not count.

4.2 Olarm reviews each story before the bonus entries are awarded.

4.3 You must not post offensive content. You must not post another person’s personal information. You must not post anything that could compromise a customer’s site.

4.4 Olarm may refuse a story, remove it, and withhold the five (5) bonus entries where any of clauses 4.5 to 4.11 apply.

4.5 Olarm may do so where the story is offensive, unlawful, hateful, harassing, discriminatory, or sexually explicit.

4.6 Olarm may do so where the story includes personal information of a customer or of any other person. That information includes a name, contact details, a physical address, account or device details, and a photo or video in which a person can be identified. Personal information of this kind is described in Section 4 of the Privacy Policy.

4.7 Olarm may do so where the story includes special personal information, including information about a person’s health, biometrics, race, ethnic origin, religion, or sexual orientation. Olarm does not knowingly collect that information, as stated in Section 4.5 of the Privacy Policy.

4.8 Olarm may do so where the story shows a child. The services are not directed at children, and Olarm does not knowingly collect a child’s personal information, as stated in Section 13 of the Privacy Policy and in Section 4.5 of the Privacy Policy.

4.9 Olarm may do so where the story includes security information. Security information includes an alarm code, a description of how a system is installed, a panel or site layout, and a description of how a system can be bypassed.

4.10 Olarm may do so where the story is not your own material.

4.11 Olarm may do so where the story is not about anything you have done with Olarm, or is otherwise unsuitable for the Academy community.

4.12 Where a story includes offensive content, personal information, or security information, Olarm may also remove you from the draw.

4.13 Olarm will not use a story that does not meet this clause 4.

4.14 Where Olarm accepts a story, Olarm may use it in Olarm’s marketing and may edit it.

4.15 By posting a story, you confirm that it meets this clause 4 and that you have the right to post it.

4.16 A story is your own account of an installation you carried out using an Olarm device. You give that account in writing, or in a video of yourself speaking. In it, you describe what you did with the device.

4.17 Olarm uses an accepted story to understand how installers use Olarm devices, and to identify installations that are out of the ordinary. Olarm is asking for your account of the work. Olarm is not asking for the customer's identity, images of the premises, or details that identify the site.

4.18 You do not film or photograph a premises, the inside or outside of a house, or a customer’s site. Material of that kind is an invasion of that person’s privacy. Where you include it, the story counts only if you hold that person’s prior written consent and you give Olarm a copy of that consent on request. Olarm may still refuse the story under clause 4.6 or clause 4.9.

5. The prize

5.1 There is one (1) prize. The prize is a Travelstart holiday voucher of fifteen thousand rand (R15,000). There is no second prize.

5.2 The prize is the voucher itself. You book your own travel with Travelstart, on Travelstart’s terms, including any expiry date. Olarm does not make the booking.

5.3 Where a booking costs more than fifteen thousand rand (R15,000), you pay the difference.

5.4 The voucher cannot be exchanged for cash. The voucher cannot be transferred. The voucher is issued in your name.

5.5 Where the voucher cannot be supplied, Olarm may replace it with a prize of similar value.

6. The draw

6.1 After closing, Olarm will draw one (1) entry at random from the valid entries. Each entry is one (1) chance.

6.2 A person may win only once.

6.3 Olarm will email the winner at the address on that person’s Academy account by 10 December 2026. Where the winner accepts the prize, Olarm may publish the winner’s first name and city.

6.4 The winner must reply within seven (7) days of that email. Olarm may ask for proof of identity.

6.5 Where the winner does not reply within seven (7) days, Olarm may draw again.

7. Personal information

7.1 For this competition, Olarm collects your name, your Academy account details, your email address, your course completion records, and the video, text and images in any story you post. Where you win, Olarm also collects the proof of identity and the contact details needed to issue the voucher.

7.2 Olarm (Pty) Ltd is the responsible party, as set out in Section 3.1 of the Privacy Policy.

7.3 Olarm uses this information to record your entries, review any story, conduct the draw, and award the prize. Olarm also uses an accepted story for the purpose in clause 4.17. Olarm does so because that use is required to carry out these rules.

7.4 Where you post a story, and Olarm accepts it, you agree that Olarm may use that story in its marketing, as set out in clause 4.14. That agreement applies only to the accepted story. It is not agreement to any other marketing. Other marketing communications are sent only on the basis described in Section 5 of the Privacy Policy.

7.5 Where you accept the prize, you agree that Olarm may publish your first name and city, as set out in clause 6.3.

7.6 Olarm gives the winner’s name and email address to Travelstart, and only so that Travelstart can issue the voucher. Olarm may give the entry list to the person appointed to oversee the draw, and only for that purpose. Olarm does not sell this information.

7.7 Where a story includes another person’s personal information, a child’s personal information, or special personal information, Olarm removes the story and does not use it. Special personal information and personal information of a child are described in Section 4.5 of the Privacy Policy and in Section 13 of the Privacy Policy.

7.8 Olarm keeps these competition records for the time needed to run the competition and award the prize, and for three (3) years after the competition ends. Olarm then deletes the records or removes the personal information from them, unless the law requires a longer period.

7.9 You may ask Olarm to stop using your story by writing to legal@olarm.com. Olarm will stop further use of the story, and the five (5) bonus entries will fall away. Use that has already taken place is not undone. Your course entries remain in the draw unless you also ask, before the draw, to be removed from it.

7.10 You may exercise the rights described in Section 10 of the Privacy Policy. A request is made to legal@olarm.com, as set out in Section 17 of the Privacy Policy.

7.11 These rules are the notice of how Olarm handles personal information for this competition.

8. General

8.1 Olarm may remove an entry where a person has used more than one (1) account, has had another person complete a course, or has given false information.

8.2 Olarm may change these rules, or may cancel the competition, where the competition cannot fairly be run. Where people have already entered, Olarm will still award the prize from the valid entries where it is able to do so.

8.3 South African law applies to these rules.

8.4 Olarm’s decision on an entry, on a story, and on the winner is final.
