Olarm connects to your existing alarm panel via a small communicator (e.g. Olarm MAX). The communicator talks to your panel and sends status and events to the Olarm app, so you can arm, disarm, get alerts, and control your system from your phone. No need to replace your alarm—we make it smart.

Is my existing alarm compatible with Olarm?

Olarm works with most major alarm brands, including Paradox, IDS, Texecom, DSC, Honeywell, and Orisec. We also integrate with electric fences (e.g. Nemtek, JVA), gates (Centurion, Digidoor, DTS, ET, Gemini), and many CCTV systems. Use our compatibility checker or ask an installer to confirm.

Do I need to replace my alarm panel?

No. Olarm connects to your existing panel—no rip-and-replace. You keep your keypads, sensors, and wiring. A certified installer typically fits the communicator in 30–45 minutes.

What happens during load shedding or power cuts?

Olarm MAX has an internal backup battery and dual-SIM connectivity. If power or one network fails, it switches to the backup path so your system stays connected.

Is there a subscription or monthly fee?

Yes. Olarm devices need an active subscription for connectivity and app access. Professional monitoring is available through our armed response partners.

Is Remote Connect secure?

Yes. Every connection requires a unique, time-limited code generated through Command Centre. All sessions are logged with full audit trails, and only authorized partners can generate access codes.

Does it work with Olarm MAX?

Yes. Remote Connect v2.02+ fully supports both Olarm MAX and Olarm PRO/PRO 4G devices. The older DeddyWare software only supports PRO—Remote Connect works with everything.

What happened to DeddyWare?

DeddyWare has been replaced by Olarm Remote Connect. It's no longer supported and doesn't work with Olarm MAX. We recommend all partners upgrade to Remote Connect.

Is there an extra cost?

No. Remote Connect is included as part of the Olarm partner ecosystem at no additional charge.
